Best Double Stroller for Disney (Based on Original Data)
If you’re looking for the best double stroller to buy or rent for Disney World or Disneyland (that’s within the Disney-approved size limit), I’ve got you covered. I searched numerous posts across several Facebook groups (to limit duplicate responses) and tallied up the votes that each stroller got. Then I dug into the responder’s reasoning (features, size of kid, ease of pushing, ease of folding, etc.). After that, I checked the reviews on Amazon. Finally, I experienced a lot of these strollers myself. Here's the best strollers for the Disney parks.
(This article has been updated throughout 2024. None of the rankings have changed, but #1 and #2 are closer together, and the park stroller is more highly recommended)
Once I weeded through all the parents pontificating about how their children don’t need strollers (good for them), I found 244 recommendations for the best double stroller at Disney World. I’ve listed the ones that will be the most useful to you based on your needs at Disney—overall, extra storage, infant, sit and stand, airplane, economy, etc. One thing to keep in mind when buying is that most of the strollers charge extra for handle storage, snack trays, cup holders, car seat adapters, etc.
Almost everyone recommends getting a side-by-side double stroller. It’s easier to get kids in and out of, and it usually has a larger and easier to access storage container. It's also easier to push around the parks. Therefore, you’ll see them at the top of the list. A few things to note before we get started. First, all strollers have to be folded up on buses and trams. All strollers can be left open on boats and the monorail. But, only side-by-side double strollers have to be folded on the Skyliner (tandem strollers don't need to be folded).
Here are the best double strollers for a Disney trip. Each one is a great option for young children. And remember, don't buy a new stroller if you already have your own stroller that's decent. Just have fun.
If you want to skip my analysis and do your own research and comparisons, here’s the full list I created of the recommended strollers.

Stroller Restrictions for Disney World and Disneyland
Next, all strollers have to be at or under 31” wide and under 52” long at both Disneyland and Disney World, so if you have a great stroller at home, measure it before you bring it. In other words, you can zip-tie two umbrella strollers together (a serious recommendation from Facebook users), but you can’t zip-tie three of them together. All the strollers I list here are in compliance. The width restriction is based on ADA rules about what can fit through most doorways. Also, remember that wagons and stroller wagons are not allowed at Disney. This rule makes more sense because they are harder to park, often don't fold down easily, and cumbersome to push around without inconveniencing other guests.
So here’s the list of best double strollers for Disney. Most of the links are affiliate links, so I may earn if you make a purchase, but you’re still getting an honest, positive/negative review for each stroller. You can also get great ones from rental companies.

Best Overall Double Stroller for Disney
Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 All-Terrain Double Stroller (88 Votes)
Max Recommended Weight: 50 lbs per seat
Max Recommended Height: 43 inches
Dimensions: L40.7” W29.25” H42.25”
Stroller Weight: 28.2 lbs
Seat Width: 13.5"
Tire Material: Forever Air rubber tires with all-wheel suspension
Amazon Rating: 4.7 out of 5 stars (over 1,400 reviews)
Two years in a row, it’s clear that the City Mini Double is the most popular stroller for pushing two kids at Disney World. It’s overwhelming the favorite for recommending for purchasing and renting. It’s large enough to accommodate older/larger kids and can store almost anything you want, but it’s light enough to not be too much of a burden when you have to fold it up for transportation. Folding is a one-handed affair. The City Mini also has a unique handbrake system that keeps you from having to find the brake with your foot.
Whenever you have to look for downsides for the City Mini, it’s almost always in comparison to the BOB. While it’s lighter and possibly more comfortable than the BOB, it’s storage is smaller and less sturdy. It also has an awkward crossbar blocking the storage. Finally, it doesn’t have the large footrest that allows much taller kids to ride without their feet dangling.
The Citi Mini GT2 Double Stroller is a great double stroller for Disney for almost everyone. However, it’s not cheap, so I recommend it for long-term ownership or renting at Disney. It’s not a stroller to buy if you’re only using it for Disney.
Pros for City Mini GT2 Double:
-accommodates larger kids comfortably
-big storage container
-larger than average wheels navigate well
-surprisingly light given all the features
-all wheel suspension
Cons for City Mini GT2 Double:
-heavier than most double strollers
-no large footrest
-smaller, uninflated wheels compared to BOB
-awkward crossbar on storage. Storage sides too stretchy.
Runner-Up Best Double Stroller for Disney
Best Stroller for Large Kids for Disney
Bob Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 Duallie (64 votes)
Max Recommended Weight: 100 lbs.
Max Recommended Height: 44”
Dimensions: H48” W30.5” L45”
Stroller Weight: 33.1 lbs.
Tire Material: Pneumatic (inflated) tires
Amazon Rating: 4.8 Stars (over 2,600 Reviews)
The BOB Duallie has significantly grown in popularity over the last year. It is a large, durable tank of a stroller. It’s great for Disney, and it’s great for running a marathon with large kids. It’s wheels are inflatable and roughly twice the size (especially the rear wheels) of a typical double stroller. The rims of the wheels are hard plastic and not bicycle spokes, making them much more durable. It has enormous storage capacity because the basket goes under the extra-large footrest. And the footrest is the best part! Since the footrest is large enough for an adult foot, you don’t have to worry about how tall your passengers are. In fact, it’s so large that you can put a third person on the footrest in a pinch. The recommended weight is 100lbs., but it can hold far more than that. In fact, Buena Vista Rentals rates it at 140 lbs. I know for a fact that it will accommodate two small adults.
In case you can’t tell, I think the BOB Duallie is the best stroller for two older children. We have a single BOB that has lasted us 10 years under heavy use at Disney and jogging. They are well-made and a smooth ride. I can easily put all three of my kids (1,7,9) in the single stroller (7 year old holding baby, while 9 year old sits on footrest), so I’m pretty sure I could add my wife to the double stroller.
If you read my post about the best single strollers in Disney, you’d know that the BOB comes out the clear winner. I think the reason the Duallie lags behind the Citi Mini GT2 Double is because of the weight. The size is an advantage for the single stroller, but once you upgrade to the double, the sheer size, weight, and wheel size become cumbersome to a lot of parents desperate to get all their kids and gear on the buses. Therefore, I highly recommend the BOB unless weight and size are dealbreaker for you. It would also be almost impossible to carry this stroller on an airplane. Those 16” wheels are not going in the overhead compartment. Finally, it’s on the expensive side (but they often go on great sales).
Pros for BOB Duallie:
-great for large kids
-immense storage
-durable
-smooth and fast ride (if you want to go fast, lock the front wheel)
-wheels won’t get stuck in the Main Street train tracks
Cons for BOB duallie:
-heavy
-expensive
-large wheels take up space when folded
Best Lightweight Luxury Stroller for Disney
Best Stroller for 3-4 kids at Disney
Best Stroller for Flight to Disney
Zoe Twin+ (37 votes)
Max Recommended Weight: 90 lbs.
Dimensions: L33” W29” H40.25”
Stroller Weight: 19lbs
Folded Height: 9”
Tire Size: 6”
Amazon Rating: 4.6 stars on Amazon (legacy), 4.9 stars on Zoebaby website
(Update: The Zoe continues to gain in votes even though it's not available on Amazon or for rent from major rental companies, so that's good news)
If you want a luxury double stroller for Disney, but don’t want the weight of the top 2 strollers, take a look at the Zoe Twin+. It has most of the features of the larger models, but with significantly less weight. It also has a footrest for taller kids that the Citi Mini doesn’t have (though not as useful as the BOB). It can also lay down almost completely flat for naps. Where the Zoe Twin+ really shines is that it can fold down insanely small, which is great for the tram or bus. Another great feature is that you can attach one or two seats to the front and still be compliant with Disney’s rules. Therefore, this is far and away the best option for families with 3 or 4 kids.
The downsides to the stroller are the other side of the coin from the upsides. The smaller wheels won’t navigate the park (especially over bumps) as well as the larger strollers, and it has limited storage compared to the larger strollers. Some users complain about the durability of the material. Zoe only sells their product direct from the website from what I can tell, so Amazon feedback is dated.
The Zoe Twin+ is a great stroller for smaller kids, lighter weight, for folding, and for more than 2 kids. Since it folds down to 9”, it also would be the best on a plane. If any double stroller can fit in an overhead bin, it’s this one, but it will fit up front on a plane better than any.
Pros for Zoe Twin+:
-lightweight and small folding size
-fancy-looking with its leather handles
-can upgrade to 3- or 4-seater and still go to Disney
-good reclining capability
Cons for Zoe Twin+:
-small wheels
-small storage
-not as durable
Best Tandem (Front/Back) Stroller for Disney
Graco DuoGlider
Max Recommended Weight: 80 lbs (40 each)
Dimensions: L36.4” W20.5” H41”
Stroller Weight: 29.5 lbs.
Amazon Rating: 4.6 Stars
While the prevailing wisdom is that you should use a side-by-side stroller, there are some advantages to using a tandem stroller instead. The biggest advantage to a tandem stroller for Disney is that you can bring it on the Skyliner without folding it. It was a huge letdown when I realized I was going to have to fold my double stroller on the Skyliner the first time I rode it. Other advantages include not having the kids fighting as much when they lean into each other (though the back one might kick the front one). It also might be easier to navigate crowded parks with a narrower stroller. Finally, it’s less cumbersome folded than a double stroller when you get on the tram or the bus.
One of the downsides of the tandem stroller is less storage space that’s harder to get to. The Graco Ready2 Grow mitigates this by having an absolutely enormous storage space, with the majority of it sticking out the back. This is a good remedy to the problem, but it still limits access to part of the storage, and it means that the back child can’t be very tall or their feet will be in the storage. Luckily, Graco provides a footrest above the storage.
There are a few other nice things about the Graco DuoGlider. There are independent canopies for each seat, and the back seat lays flat to become a bassinet if you have an infant. The storage basket drops down for access, so that you can get to your bubble wands and goldfish even when the baby is lying flat.
Pros for Graco DuoGlider:
-can leave open on Skyliner
-great storage concept
-backseat lays flat
-low price
Cons for Graco DuoGlider:
-less storage access than side-by-side
-not for larger kids
-small wheels harder to navigate with
Best Sit-and-Stand Stroller
Best Double Stroller for Disney Cruise
Joovy Caboose Sit and Stand
Max Recommended Weight: 90 lbs. (for both kids)
Max Recommended Height: 45” (for standing kid)
Dimensions: L34.6” W19.7” H42”
Stroller Weight: 27.5 lbs
Tire Material: EVA
Amazon Rating: 4.5 Stars (1,904 ratings)
Lots of people asked for the best sit and stand. If I was choosing a double stroller, I wouldn’t opt for a sit and stand for Disney. But, I can see the advantages. Kids that think they’re too old to ride can feel less childish riding on the back. Then, they can easily get off when they feel like asserting how grown up they are. The Joovy Caboose also offers a bench seat for when your “grown up” finally gives up in the Orlando heat.
The Joovy has other advantages as well. It’s extremely light and inexpensive. It comes with a built-in snack tray and cupholders. It has good reclining options for the front seat as well. The biggest drawback for just about any sit and stand is small and difficult to access storage. Also, with a child standing over the storage, they can avail themselves to whatever is in the storage. Some users complain that it’s difficult to steer when loaded and that the tread on the tires wears away after minimal use. Finally, the Joovy has an interesting canopy situation. It creatively offers use of the front canopy is the rear child is sitting, and isn’t fixed to move to any needed angle. However, there is no sun canopy for a standing child. All in all, if you are looking for a sit and stand, the Joovy Caboose is an inexpensive and reliable option. Also, if you’re heading on a Disney Cruise, this stroller will fit through your stateroom door.
(Update for 2024. While the Joovy is still the most popular sit and stand, the Baby Trend Sit and Stand significantly gained on it)
Pros for Joovy Caboose:
-your kid can sit or stand, obviously
-extremely light for a double stroller
-comes with snack tray and cupholders
-don’t have to fold for Skyliner
-inexpensive
-light for a double stroller
Cons for Joovy Caboose:
-hard to access storage, especially when back kid riding
-easy for kid to access storage and sneak Cheezits
-less storage than a side-by-side
-less sun coverage
Best Economy Double Stroller for Disney
Best Lightweight Double Stroller for Disney
Best Last-Minute Stroller for Disney
Kolcraft Cloud Plus Double Stroller
Max Recommended Weight: 80 lbs.
Dimensions: L36” W31” H38”
Stroller Weight: 23 lbs.
Seat Width: 12.5”
Tire Material: EVA
Amazon Rating: 4.5 Stars (1,887 Ratings)
If you’re looking for a great and cheap side by side, the Kolcraft Cloud is a great choice for Disney. It’s extremely lightweight like an umbrella stroller but has comparatively ample storage. It also comes with built-in snack trays and parent cupholders. Since the idea behind this stroller is to have a cheap stroller that’s ready out of the box, that is an enormous plus.
We opted for Kolcraft whenever we need a stroller for Disney but don’t need it for everyday life. It’s a great one to pick up on a whim or because you forgot to bring one with you. We did this with a single Kolcraft when we did parks then a cruise, and it has been a surprisingly useful and durable stroller. Given it’s narrow dimensions, it’s a great option for a cruise as well (though still not narrow enough to fit through a stateroom door).
The downsides of this stroller will be the same for any cheap stroller—smaller wheels, less room for large kids, less storage than the larger strollers, and most likely less durable. The Kolcraft also doesn’t recline very far, which might be a problem if you need a child to take a long nap. All in all, though, this a great stroller at a great price for navigating Disney.
Pros for Kolcraft Cloud Double:
-lightweight
-decent storage for category
-comes standard with snack tray
-small and easy to fold
Cons for Kolcraft Cloud Double:
-small wheels
-limited storage compared to larger strollers
-not for larger kids
Conclusion and Further Reading
Hopefully, I’ve given you enough ideas to make a educated choice in purchasing or renting the right stroller. As you choose, make sure you know which features are the most important for you—space for kids, maneuverability, weight and folding issues, side-by-side, tandem, or sit and stand, or, of course, price. If you're on the fence, even older children benefit from a stroller in order to handle the long days at Magic Kingdom or the other Disney theme parks. Finally, almost every ride has convenient stroller parking if you're worried about that (and in our experience, no one steals anything).
Also, remember that whatever you choose has to be 31” or less wide. There are lots of good strollers that miss this mark by half an inch. I compiled this list of strollers through Facebook polls, Amazon reviews, unique features, and personal experience. But if you want to see the full list of votes, take a look at the graphic below to see a bunch of strollers I didn’t mention. If you do like one I picked out, follow that link and purchase. Here’s the full details of the 244 votes.
