Disney World Princess Tips for Kids: The Ultimate Guide
Second Dad to the Right Note: The following was written by my 10 year old daughter. She has 10 years of extensive Disney princess experience, but she would like you know that she likes Star Wars and Harry Potter better. I pay her in Doorables.
Is your daughter overly obsessed with Disney princesses? Well, are you heading to Disney World for the first time? Well, if you said yes to the second question just start reading everything me and my dad has written here, but if you answered yes to both questions, it would be REALLY helpful if you read this. Keep reading.

Princess Dresses for Little Kids
So first, if your daughter wants to dress up as her favorite princess, then there are many costumes to choose from. There are lots of stores all around the parks, especially Disney Springs, like The World of Disney.
You can also look for Disney princesses on Amazon here. (This is an affiliate link. My dad will use the money to take me Disney if you make a purchase.)
Meeting Princesses in Disney Parks
There are lots of places where you can meet the princesses. No matter which parks you go to, there are guaranteed to be princesses. I’ll tell you which characters it’s possible to meet, but you’ll need to check your My Disney Experience App for the most up-to-date information.
Princesses at Magic Kingdom
Let’s start with Magic Kingdom. At the Fairytale Hall, located in Fantasyland, you can go through two different hallways. The first one leads to Rapunzel and Tiana. The second hallway leads to Elena and Cinderella.
At Ariel’s grotto, you can meet Ariel. At Enchanted Tales with Belle, you meet Belle. At Agrahbah, in Adventureland, you can meet Jasmine, and you can find Snow White on the Town Square Theater Porch. Usually, you would find Merida in the Fairytale Garden, but she is no longer there. She was replaced with Mirabel from Encanto, but she might return on Main Street.
Princesses at EPCOT
At EPCOT, there are many princesses. So, at the France pavilion, you can meet Belle, and Aurora. You can meet Jasmine at the Morocco pavilion, and at the Germany pavilion by the wishing well, you can meet Snow White.
You can meet Anna and Elsa at the Sommerhus in the Norway pavilion. We love going there because it’s like seeing their childhood house. At the China pavilion, you can meet Mulan. Also, at the new area, The Way of the Water, you can meet Moana.
Princesses at Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, you can meet the new live-action Ariel at Walt Disney Presents. If your daughter likes watching Disney Junior, you can meet Sofia the First.
Also, this doesn’t really count, but Rey. Technically, she is a princess, because Emperor Palpatine’s granddaughter. Anyway, you see her walking around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Princesses at Animal Kingdom
At Animal Kingdom, you can meet Pocahontas and Moana (for now. She might move to EPCOT with her new area).
Disney World Princess Rides
There are also many attractions (Rides) with Disney Princesses.
Princess Rides at Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom, there are lots of Disney Princess rides. Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid is a slow attraction that tells the story of Ariel, and it has plenty of music, animatronics, and thingamabobs.
The next ride we have is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This ride used to be Splash Mountain, from the movie Song of the South, but construction walls are covering the ride, so they can reimagine it as a Princess and the Frog ride.
Also, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Although this doesn’t have a huge connection to Jasmine, it’s a nice attraction to ride to cool off on a hot day, because of the camels that spit water at you.
Next up, is The Seven Dwarves Mine Train. This is a roller coaster that takes you through the mines of The Seven Dwarves. Also there is a cool animatronic of Snow White dancing with Dopey.
Princess Rides at EPCOT
At Epcot, there is only one princess ride. It’s Frozen Ever After, which can be found in Norway. You meet friends (Animatronics) like Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, and Marshmallow, who is looking after the Snowgies.
This is a water ride, so you might get wet. If you don’t want to get wet, sit near the front. After meeting Elsa at her palace, she uses her ice powers to push you back! This scene may spook a child especially if they get wet.
Disney Princess-themed Areas at Disney World
Around the parks, there are many themed areas. These areas may have meet-and-greets, and rides. Unfortunately, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom do not have any princess-themed areas.
Princess-themed Areas at Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom, there are many themed areas. One of the areas is themed after The Little Mermaid, which is by the Storybook Circus. The Little Mermaid attraction is located there, and the meet and greet. Also there is a restaurant called Prince Eric’s Village Market.
By The Little Mermaid area, we also have the Beauty and the Beast area. The area has a (miniature) castle (it’s supposed to look far away). Inside the castle, (Not really inside) there’s a restaurant called Be Our Guest. There is also a snack bar and a gift shop. Also there’s an interactive experience with Belle and her friends called Enchanted Tales with Belle.
By It’s A Small World, there are some Tangled restrooms. My mom says that this is her favorite restroom in the world. My dad says that’s a weird name for a bathroom. There are some Wanted posters of Hook Hand and more. Also, there’s a miniature tower that Rapunzel’s hair dangles from.
In Frontierland, part of this area was reimagined to be Princess and the Frog themed after they took apart The Song of the South area. This place will have a restaurant (presumably) and bayou river ride dubbed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (formerly Splash Mountain).
In Adventureland there is an Aladdin themed area named Agrabah. There is a meet and greet and a ride: The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
Princess-themed Areas at EPCOT
At EPCOT there are a couple of themed areas and the first one is Beauty and the Beast. This area is in France along with the Ratatouille area. This place has a meet and greet and an attraction called Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. This attraction isn’t unlike Mickey’s PhilharMagic at Magic Kingdom.
In Norway, there is a Frozen area. There is a boat ride and a meet and greet in the Royal Sommerhus (Summer House). There is also a gift shop.
In World of Nature, there’s a new Moana themed area called Journey of Water Inspired by Moana. There are interactive water experiences that have two paths: dry or wet. Go on the wet path if you are very hot and need to cool off. If you prefer not to get wet, walk on the dry path.
Princess Restaurants at Disney World
There are also Disney Princess restaurants. Some are themed after Princesses, and others you can actually meet the princesses! There used to be one called Bon Voyage with Rapunzel and Ariel at Trattoria al Forno, but it hasn’t opened back up since covid.
Princess Dining Experiences at Magic Kingdom
There is obviously Cinderella’s Castle at the center of Magic Kingdom. Inside the castle, there is a restaurant called Cinderella’s Royal Table that has four princesses walking around.
Near the restaurant, there is a meet and greet place for Cinderella (Duh). At the restaurant, you can meet Ariel, Aurora, Jasmine and Snow White.
Also, there’s a restaurant called Be Our Guest in the Beauty and the Beast section that looks exactly like Beast’s castle. However, you don’t meet Belle or any princesses here. The Beast occasionally walks through. Try the gray stuff. It’s delicious!
Princess Dining Experiences at EPCOT
Like Cinderella’s Castle, in the Norway pavilion in EPCOT, there is a character meal restaurant called Akershus. This restaurant offers a variety of princesses, including: Belle, Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Mulan, Aurora, and even Mary Poppins.
This restaurant offers Norwegian delicacies, although this is a great restaurant to go to if you need to keep your kids entertained while eating, it can be on the pricier side. Still, I definitely recommend this restaurant for kids, because who doesn’t want a royal friend to visit you while dining?
Snow White Dining at Wilderness Lodge
At the hotel Wilderness Lodge, there’s a restaurant called Artist’s Point. There, you can eat at a magical forest. More importantly, you can find Snow White and her friends… maybe her enemies, too! The experience is called Storybook Dining, and it is only offered at dinner.
Princesses in Disney World Shows
There are several shows throughout the Disney Parks that have princesses in them. Here they are:
Princess Shows at Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, there’s a nighttime show called Fantasmic where Mickey Mouse’s dreams become reality. Many princesses are in the show, especially on the riverboat. Here are some of the princesses you will see: Moana, Elsa, Anna, Mulan, Jasmine, Belle, and Ariel. This show may scare small children especially during the scene when Maleficent turns into a dragon.
Hollywood Studios also has shows throughout the day that you can attend like rides. They include a Beauty and the Beast play, a Little Mermaid Show, and my favorite, the Frozen sing-along. It’s really funny.
Princess Shows at Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom, you can see a parade called Festival of Fantasy, which has plenty of Princesses. With a catchy theme song, this parade passes through Main Street. There you can see Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel, Tiana, Snow White, Anna, Elsa, Cinderella, and Merida. This show lasts for 12 minutes, and will be canceled if there is bad weather, although there is an occasional rainy day parade.
Princess Shows at EPCOT
EPCOT has an animated sing-along for Beauty and Beast. It’s a weird show where they try to get you to believe that Lefou was actually a good guy. My dad calls this gaslighting. Still, you get to sing all the songs from the show. It’s in the France pavilion.
Princess Shows at Animal Kingdom
I don’t know if this really counts, but Animal Kingdom has a Lion King show, and Nala is a princess.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: The Disney Princess Makeover
At Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, there’s a salon called Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. You can turn your daughter into a Disney princess, or a unique princess or turn your son into a prince.
The workers there are The Fairy Godmother’s helpers, and are professional, so expect the best from them. After choosing a hairstyle, then makeup, (this is optional) nail colors, and a dress.
When I went there, I was dressed as Rapunzel, so I had my hair in a bun, and I had makeup, and painted nails, and also, they sent me home with a makeup kit. Also, as you leave, helpers will sprinkle pixie dust, (Glitter) on your child’s head. If you're planning to go there, your child needs to be 3-12 years old.
